Endurance Adventures

I have built this site to create a record of my adventures in endurance events. I will include a little about where I started, what I did and how its going. You can get off the couch and become an “Athlete”. Trail running is a blast!

I began this adventure with two races; a long trail run, 30K, followed by a 24 hour event. I did okay (see Races for details). I now have a good baseline to measure progress. In 2007 I worked toward expanding my runs. First Trail Marathon in March, a number of 30K & 25K races and some timed Ultra events. In 2008 my focus will be not just finishing but running within time limits a reaching for a timed Ultramarathon.

I have joined two great organizations. The North Texas Trail Runners, and The Hill Country Trail Runners. Reading their emails and getting to know these folks has encouraged me. The older runners give me a target to shoot for. Several of them started running when not much younger than I am now.

WARNING: The methods I used did not kill me BUT you might consider working with your doctor to find a method that won’t kill you!
